The percentages of teens using and abusing alcohol and drugs are alarmingly high. By the end of high school, 75% have used alcohol and 45% have used illegal drugs. And, unfortunately, parents are too often the last to know. The following graphs, based on extensive survey data, compare the percentages of students who admit using to the percentage of parents who believe their kids are using.
