Teen Quotes
"Will," an anonymous GBHS student who has been dealing marijuana since he was in the 8th grade, said people would be surprised about the customers he sells to.  "There are people that you wouldn't expect to smoke," Will said.   "I know lots of people that have 4.0 GPAs who smoke."  [Officer] Herrick agrees that parents should be aware that anyone can start doing drugs, and become educated early on about the subject."

Well, yeah, you probably already knew that one . . .

But did you also know that the same developmental processes that make teens moody and such, also make the teen brain far more vulnerable to the harmful and potentially lifelong effects of alcohol and drug use?

Of course, for the most part, our kids are making good choices and doing great things.  Yet despite being great kids, and despite the dangers, many, even a majority, are being drawn into risky and unhealthy alcohol and drug use.

CASHY believes that every Youth deserves a Safe and Healthy, Substance-Free journey to adulthood, and we aim to support the community in achieving this goal.  Thank you for visiting and raising your awareness.
